Omg, my junior year is hard! @_@'' First report card came out, and I managed to make straight A's, thankfully. *hasn't made a B since her freshman year*

But yeah, there's a lot of work this year, which explains the lack of art. XD And activeness. About another month, though, and marching band will be mostly over, so there's an extra two hours I didn't have before.

So, my homecoming dance was last night....and....guess...what...

I STAYED HOME AND READ MANGA UNTIL THREE IN THE MORNING. CB

Lol, MUCH more productive use of my time.

Um, and now for something completely different. In my town, there's a democratic candidate running for Congress, and his wife works at the same school as my dad. My dad was so impressed with the campaign speech I wrote for English that he showed it to her, and she showed it to her husband, and now he wants me to help with his campaign. XD I know the job would be mostly licking envelopes and stuff, but still, it's pretty cool to be taken notice of by someone important.

So, band news. All region music is coming along well. I'm hoping....no, PLANNING to make all-state this year. <3 I also already have my solo picked out for this spring. It's "Elegie for Horn and Piano" by Poulenc. Pretty cool and dark sounding...I like it. XD It's really long, though....ten minutes. >_>

MORE band news...last weekend, we had a marching contest, and for the first time EVER, we made finals!! Ended up in 8th place overall, out of about 25, which isn't good enough for me, but it's a major step up.

Oh, and ze song project ends in NINE DAYS. Remember, previous submissions are okay, if you'd still like to contribute.
